Kaiju is a Japanese word meaning “strange creature”. In English, it has come to mean “monster” or “giant monster”, referring to creatures of a large size seen in movies from Asia. Many kaiju movies are made in Japan. It is a type of tokusatsu entertainment. … The most well-known kaiju is Godzilla.
An earlier post of mine about Kaiju: Trivia Question: Kaiju. Here should be everything I Tagged as Kaiju: https://upsdownsfamilyhistory.wordpress.com/tag/kaiju/page/1/.
I haven’t posted anything Kaiju related recently and I only found this Kickstarter campaign last night. Kaiju Crescendo An Evening of Japanese Monster Music: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/kaijucrescendo/kaiju-crescendo – fully funded $39,627 out of $35,000 campaign goal; 276 backers. Ends Friday, April 19 2019 4:58 PM CDT. Kicktraq: http://www.kicktraq.com/projects/kaijucrescendo/kaiju-crescendo/.
It has four (4) days to go. It sounds like something I would enjoy seeing in person, but it’s not in my budget.

I apologize for taking so long to approve your comment. WordPress in its finite wisdom decided it was Spam and stuck it in the Spam folder. I don’t check my Spam folder that often as I don’t get that many comments that get sent there and almost all of them have been Spam. When I checked the Spam folder last night or early this morning, I noticed your comment was in there and approved it.
