Boston Public Library’s 78rpm Records Come to the Internet: Reformatting the Boston Public Library Sound Archives March 29, 2019; and Riley Shepard Recordings

I saw this yesterday on the Wayback Machine Blog: Boston Public Library’s 78rpm Records Come to the Internet: Reformatting the Boston Public Library Sound Archives: blog.archive.org/2019/03/29/boston-public-librarys-78rpm-records-come-to-the-internet-reformatting-the-boston-public-library-sound-archives/.

For those who are fans of Riley Shepard – After 50 Years, Riley Shepard’s “Encyclopedia of Folk Music” is Finally Available: https://blog.archive.org/2019/02/27/riley-shepards-encyclopedia-of-folk-music-is-finally-available/

You can listen to the Boston’s Public Library 78 rpm recordings at https://archive.org/details/78rpm_bostonpubliclibrary. Looks to be 48,796 audio files available. For example, this one titled Songs of the Service – https://archive.org/details/78_semper-paratus_victor-military-band-the-four-clubmen-r-j-burt-sr-simon-dapp-phi_gbia0082738 has 90 songs you can listen to.

The Wayback Machine Blog can be found at https://blog.archive.org/. It has a wealth of information.

As a reminder, Google+ is shutting down April 2, 2019 so if you have anything you want to save to the Wayback Machine – https://archive.org/web/, do it before April 2nd.
