Battle Stations: PT Boats

I was researching military history on YouTube and came across: Battle Stations: PT Boats (War History Documentary): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtMJFROT2zk.

I don’t remember when I first read or heard about PT boatshttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PT_boat, but probably the movie In Harm’s Way – https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0059309/ or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_Harm%27s_Way, starring John Wayne and an impressive cast of actors and actresses.

There are a few remaining PT boats around, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PT_boat#Remaining_boats. Out of those in the list, only two (2) are fully operational as PT boats in the U. S.: PT-305https://pt305.org/ New Orleans, Louisiana. and PT-658, Portland, Oregon.

The New Orleans PT boat is part of the National World War II Museumhttps://www.nationalww2museum.org/.
For the Portland, Oregon PT boat, http://www.savetheptboatinc.com/index.htm, and for a virtual tour: www.savetheptboatinc.com/Virtual_Tour.htm. Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/pt658/?ref=br_rs.
Several of the remaining PT boats are operational, but with different functions. Some are static displays and others have been purchased or acquired with the goal of restoring them.
