It’s rare that a golfer wishes for a mulligan after hitting a hole in one. But Colombian golfer Sebastian Munoz did during the first round of the 2021 PGA Championship Thursday afternoon.
On the 18th hole at Kiawah Island’s Ocean Course in South Carolina, Munoz sent his tee shot toward a crowd of spectators. Knowing the ball was nowhere near the fairway, Munoz was surprised to hear the crowd roar. But fans were only cheering with excitement because the ball landed in a nearby trash can.
Munoz walked up to the garbage pail, confirming the ball it was his and asked, “Do I have to get it?!”
