Week 11: Flowers — I Seek Dead People

Before I read the full text of this week’s challenge, I had puzzled over it. I had been trying to think about any connection my family had with flowers – growing them, selling them, giving them, receiving them, delivering them, painting them, killing them – but nothing came to mind. Then I thought about my mother, whose name was Violet, and I decided to write about women in my family tree who were named after flowers. This morning I realized Amy was way ahead of me.
