Piedmont leaving, postcards coming — North Carolina Collection

The postcards exhibit that was up over the summer in the North Carolina Collection will be back in the coming weeks. Since the beginning of October, there has been a display up for Piedmont Airlines. Piedmont was a Winston-Salem-based airline that started in 1948 and was absorbed into USAir in 1989. The exhibit includes interesting items like pilot hats, stewardesses’ uniforms, a miniature replica of a ticket desk, brochures, airplane models, tableware, and so much more. Don’t miss out on seeing these fun items before they “take off”.
