This is a shout-out to my mother who would have been 91 today (November 15, 2021) if she was still alive. Since she’s buried 950+ miles away, I have to rely on graving sites like BillionGraves and Find-A-Grave to visit her grave. Big thank you to those who photographed their headstones on both graving sites. Mom is buried next to her last husband which is semi-close to my father’s grave, but a bit of a walk from his grave. They are buried in the Biloxi V. A. National Cemetery. I try to visit their Find-A-Grave memorials on birthdays, angel days, Veterans Day, and other occasions as I think of them.
In addition, this is the day my brother-in-law died Rest In Peace to My Brother-in-law, Dwight T., Retired USAF Veteran Died November 15, 2019.
I don’t have any photos of her as she disliked having her picture taken. I lost it in a move many years ago, but she gave me a photo of her as a gift shortly before she died. I don’t know if my sister has any photos of her as Mom tended to be the one taking the pictures so she wouldn’t have to be in the photos.
Dad’s birthday was October 26 and he would have been 92.
My niece, Sabrina Smith, is also buried in the same cemetery as my parents. She was killed by a hit-and-run driver who wasn’t caught. She’s in a different section than her grandparents.
