I saw this today on USA TODAY – ‘The View’ live COVID reveal of co-hosts is latest example of media elites thinking rules don’t apply: https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2021/09/24/view-covid-hosts-positive-elites-ignore-rules/5845442001/. Another example was President Obama’s huge birthday party where people weren’t wearing masks or practicing social distancing. Another example was the big Sturgis rally where people didn’t wear masks or social distance although the attendees weren’t elites. Both of these events were considered super-spreader events. Longer article. One day these “elites” will realize the rules apply to them.

I can’t help but feel, from deep in the heart of fly over country, that this is another example of America’s elites acting as if rules are beneath them.
It was a little bit reality TV – a little bit pandemic theater – Friday on the set of “The View.”
The show had landed a big-name guest, Vice President Kamala Harris. The studio audience, wearing masks, was in their seats. The hosts, not wearing masks, were in their places on the set.
And then came the big reveal.
Host Sunny Hostin and guest host Ana Navarro were informed – on live TV – that they had tested positive for COVID-19.
