In Remembrance September 11, 2001 – September 11, 2021

This is a repost of an earlier post – In Remembrance September 11, 2001 that was posted in 2019. I am linking my post from last night as well – This church was destroyed on 9/11. Now it’s reopening as a shrine to victims – PBS September 9, 2021.

This post is dedicated to those who died on September 11, 2001 – be it at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, or the field in Pennsylvania. It also dedicated to those who were involved in rescue efforts before the towers fell, including those rescue workers who perished when the towers fell.

When the first plane hit, I was asleep. I worked second shift and am not a morning person. I got a call from a friend, asking if I knew what had happened. I said no. She told me about a plane hitting the World Trade Center. I am not sure if this was after the second plane hit as I was half-asleep when I received the call. She worked at the mall in a store that had TVs and it was all over the news.
