I noticed recently a long-standing quirk on Find-A-Grave, specifically I go looking for a memorial and can’t find it. Yet, if I use my least favorite search engine and add findagrave, it shows up with a link to the memorial. I realize there are over 190 million memorials on Find-A-Grave, but the search engine should be able to search them on a regular basis. I do add a year if I know when the person died, if it’s an unusual name. What’s weirder is sometimes I hit refresh and the memorial shows up even though I waited until it stopped searching the first time.
On the plus side, I noticed recently a new addition after adding a new memorial. In the past, you could add a new memorial in the same cemetery, but if I were adding a second memorial with the same last name, I had to type it in. The new addition is to add a second memorial to the same cemetery or a different ceemetery using the surname you just added. You can still add a different surname in both cases.
