Staff maintaining fleets of grounded A380s in the desert in California are fighting off snakes from their planes.

Rattle snakes are squatting in Qantas planes stranded in the California desert, prompting crews to come up with new ways to combat the slithering reptiles.

Engineers looking after the airline’s A380 fleet in the Mojave Desert while it is grounded due to Covid-19 are whacking away snakes and scorpions calling plane wheels home.
