As mentioned last month – Scheduled COVID-19 Vaccine – April 15, 2021, that was my first shot. Today, I got my second shot. I left 30 minutes early as I knew how long it took to get there. Turns out there was a line ahead of me, much longer than on April 15, 2021. They split the system up differently this time. It took about 15 minutes to get through the line. By 9 minutes past my appointment time, I headed to the 15 minute location. The usual questions and proving I was me.
I am glad to get it done. Too many non-maskers in the area from all sides of the political spectrum who ignore the evidence that masks and social distancing works. I wear the mask to keep me safe from those who choose not to mask up. I think it’s a person’s decision to wear or not wear a mask. Same for getting vaccinated. I am not going to waste my time trying to convince someone to wear a mask or get vaccinated.
I will probably not get a yearly COVID-19 vaccine as I avoid getting the yearly flu vaccines. I have yet to get the flu since I stopped getting flu vaccines. I have even been around people with the flu and not gotten it from them. I am blessed with a great immune system thanks be to the Lord. It takes a lot to get me sick. Other than the common colds that I normally get every year, it’s rare I get something worse. The interesting thing is last year was the first year in a while that I haven’t gotten a common cold. So far this year, I haven’t gotten a common cold yet. Doesn’t mean I won’t, but I am happy for not getting one yet. I
