Resurrection Sunday – April 4, 2021

I go with Resurrection Sunday instead of Easter because the origins of the word Easter have several non-Christian origins. In this example: I am not a fan of Lent as there is no basis in the Bible that one day per year, we can sin all we want. If anything, the Bible makes it clear we are to avoid sinning. Yet, several false Christian denominations have no problem celebrating Mardi Gras and Lent. I am not perfect and do my best to follow the Bible. As I am not perfect, that means I fail on a regular basis. I don’t encourage others to celebrate Mardi Gras. In many places, it becomes a drunken party.

I know in New Orleans it’s one huge party under non-pandemic circumstances. The mayor this year decided to ban Mardi Gras celebrations after the number of infected COVID-19 people last year was staggering. According to this article –, it’s estimated that one person brought it to New Orleans and a very large number of people got infected with COVID-19. Some were infected by the person who brought it to New Orleans. Others were infected by people infected from the person who got it from the original infected person or got it from others who were infected in the two weeks after the person who carried it to New Orleans.
