Ordered My Tello Phone Replacement Today – March 13, 2021

As mentioned in this post Tello Update – January 19, 2021, I need to update my Tello phone from CDMA to GSM. Ordered it direct from https://tello.com/ as that was the cheapest place I could find it. I have unlimited talk and text with limited 2 GB LTE data and unlimited 2G data. It’s my main phone for making calls. I use the voice mail for incoming calls, but most are robo-calls who don’t leave voice mail. Turns out expected delivery date is March 19, 2021.

I need to also order a TracFone phone. Usually do it on one of the shopping websites as I can get 1,500 minutes, talk, and 1500 MB data for free. Plus, it tends to be cheaper than ordering it locally or from TracFone. I need to do that soon as my renewal date expires in early April. When I order from where I usually order from, it adds 365 days to my current expiration date in addition to the additional Talk, Text, and data. My TracFone is a Pay As You Go (PAYGO) phone. I have only a few who call me on it and I keep the number for that reason. I switched to PAYGO around 8 years ago after my former cell phone provider removed the bonus plan that saved me $20/billing cycle. As I rarely made calls with the phone, the PAYGO option made the most sense. Still does as my back-up phone. I let my voice mail fill up as it costs talk minutes to listen to them.

On both phones, I have specific ringtones for known callers. I use this app – Zedge App Review – January 18, 2019 to choose ringtones. I go with the free app as it more than meets my needs on both phones.
