Father’s Death Anniversary – February 7, 2021

On February 7, 1977, my father died. He passed away around 9 P. M. at night. Mom called the ambulance and I remember they had trouble getting Dad out of the house as it was a 3 foot drop to the road and Dad was overweight. Eventually, they worked it out and got him in the ambulance. They temporarily revived him a couple of times, but by the time he arrived at the Emergency Room, he was gone. I never know how his death will impact me even though it’s been decades. Most of the time, I visit his Find-A-Grave memorial and leave a flower or token. I also visit his BillionGraves memorial which doesn’t have the ability to leave a flower or token.

It’s my way of honoring his memory. He’s buried over 950 miles away so visiting his grave isn’t an option.
