I called for a ride this morning as the wind chills tonight are below my ride ability without risking frostbite. The 10-day forecast is lower wind chills, including several days below 0 F. My bike tolerance is 10 F for where I usually ride. For shorter rides, I can handle a lower temperature without risking frostbite. Looks like the snowing stopped and accumulation on the roads hasn’t happened and it’s warm enough that there are puddles right now. It will get cold enough for the puddles to turn to ice later in the day or early evening.
If the forecasts hold, I will start dripping my faucets on Monday for about a week as my water pipes are too close to the outer wall and I don’t want to risk them freezing.
Looks like the snow plows are out now checking streets. Most likely, the city put down anti-icing sometime last night and possibly today. They may use gravel or sand in the near future.
My goal is try and move to a warmer winter area if I can come up with the money to move. I am not sure it will happen, but my tolerance for cold weather has grown worse after getting too many cases of frostbite.
Is there still snow for you all?

Snow melted a while back. Today it’s going to be in the 60s.
