Latest Update from AncestryDNA – February 3, 2021

Standard Disclaimer:

I am not a medical health professional and any comments I post are not intended, nor should they be construed, as medical advice. If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, dial 911 (where applicable) or contact proper emergency service personnel.

I checked both the AncestryDNA Basic and Health results. I was approved by the medical team they use to be tested. Not clear if they are sending me a new kit or using the old kit results. Should be interesting. As noted previously, none of the Health tests offered by any of the genealogical DNA testing companies test all known markers.

I also checked my DNA ethnicity updates; keep in mind my warning about Ignore Ethnic Results Below the Continental Level

The latest ethnicity changes for AncestryDNA were

Ethnicity Estimate
England & Northwestern Europe 56%
Scotland 31%
France 5%
Wales 4%
Germanic Europe 2%
Norway 2%

Additional Communities
Southern Louisiana French Settlers
Eastern North Carolina Settlers
North Carolina, Virginia Coast & Maryland Coast Settlers
Mississippi & Louisiana Settlers
South Mississippi & Alabama Gulf Coast Settlers

Compared to the earlier results which appears there was no change between the two updates:
