I noticed recently that http://mississippimuseums.org/ links were showing as not available. Looks like someone didn’t pay the fee to keep the URL running. I checked on Wayback Machine and noticed they had saved some of the links there: https://web.archive.org/web/20201101000000*/http://mississippimuseums.org/. I am going to check the links I posted earlier in Mississippi Mondays posts and see if any are saved to the Wayback Machine. If they are, I will post the Wayback Machine link.
For the links that weren’t saved to the Wayback Machine, I will remove the URL linkage, but leave the URL unlinked. I have this happen with some other links I used where the website wasn’t renewed. I ran across some YouTube videos that are no longer available and try finding alternative versions on YouTube or elsewhere.
If anyone realizes a link no longer works, please let me know. I will do my best to find a replacement link when possible or remove the URL linkage with a note it’s no longer working. A good case is when a company stops selling products. I add a note at the beginning of the post and remove the URL linkage. There have been a few DNA companies that are no longer around and they let the websites go.
