On Amazon, Removing Lot of Authors I Follow – January 8, 2021

I spent a while removing a lot of authors I follow on Amazon. It’s taking a while as it’s a slow process. Much slower than adding them in the first place. I made the unwise decision to follow most of them on Amazon a long time ago. I get regular updates in e-mails when these authors have a sale or a new book out on Amazon. I was following hundreds of authors. Way too many to keep up. It took a while, but I only kept a handful of authors I follow. Most of them are actually bloggers and vloggers I follow.

I need to do this on several other book websites where I am following a lot fewer authors. I sometimes sign up for newsletters directly from authors. If someone I don’t read much, I stop reading the e-mails and eventually they drop me. Sometimes I read the e-mails, but the way I do it doesn’t register on their website as me reading the e-mail. In cases like those I let them drop off. There are ways to read e-mails that don’t register as being read by whatever parameter is being set by the e-mail sender.
