Updated January 5, 2021 – Tanya died late in the evening of January 4, 2021. Looks like the earliest report I saw was announced around 2:30 A. M. January 5, 2021.
I gave up trusting social media reporting celebrities dying a long time ago. I saw that Tanya Roberts had been added to Find-A-Grave earlier today. You would think her partner and her rep wouldn’t announce her death without verifying the facts. I saw this on People and other places this evening – https://people.com/movies/tanya-roberts-is-alive-despite-husband-and-rep-announcing-death/.
I am not trying to be insensitive as I had several close family members die and am familiar with grief issues.
It doesn’t sound she is doing well when I checked, but she was still alive a few hours ago. I double checked before this post was posted. It sounds like she is touch and go from the reports I read. I am keeping her and her family and friends in my prayers.
Gets weirder. Her partner saw her open her eyes, then close them. It led him to think she had died. I don’t know if she was hooked up to a monitor or not, but why didn’t he call for a nurse or doctor if he thought she had died? At least have someone check her vitals? I realize grief can cause people to do irrational things.
The rep heard it from her partner who said she died in my arms. Still, the rep could have verified with the hospital before making the announcement.
