My Stimulus Check Update – December 31, 2020

I mentioned in this post yesterday – Internal Revenue Service Started Direct Deposits for Second Stimulus Check Yesterday; Started Mailing Out Paper Checks Today – December 30, 2020, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) was sending out direct deposits and paper checks starting this week. I checked my financial institution yesterday and the automated message said they have not received any stimulus checks. I checked this morning and checked for deposits – still no deposit. I checked this afternoon and I had a deposit.

Some were reporting getting direct deposits on Tuesday on social media. Much of my check will go to getting a replacement laptop. I have a friend who will help me look for a reasonably priced laptop, depending on the weather as snow is supposed to hit tomorrow according to the local news channels. There’s debate on how much snow we will get between the three networks and if it will continue through the day.

I have friends who should be travelling back this week-end; hope they check the weather before heading out. Granted, it can be a two day trip for them as they sometimes stop somewhere about half way here. At other time, they push through in a long drive.
