I do my best to maintain social distancing and wear masks in public. Hopefully, more people will realize a point I tried to make earlier in the week in this post – Thanksgiving in Canada a Lesson for U.S. – WebMD November 4, 2020. I have neighbors who have no problem celebrating daily events with family and friends who don’t live with them. That’s not a smart plan.
Under normal circumstances, I would eat with some friends for Thanksgiving, but I will be passing this year as they tend to invite others as well. The friends plan on going 800 miles away to visit their parents for Christmas. While the friends and their children tested positive for COVID-19 and should be clear of problems long before Thanksgiving. If I thought talking to them would dissuade them, I would raise the issue, but they are going no matter what.

Kansas too. Nowhere near as bad as your state as our population is much smaller.
