How to give a gift membership

To purchase a gift membership, visit www.myheritage.com/gift.

Select the duration of the gift — either 6 months or 1 year, and click “Continue”.

You’ll be asked to log in to your MyHeritage account or sign up for free if you are not yet a MyHeritage user. An account is needed for the gift giver in order for MyHeritage to send notifications regarding the gift (e.g., to let them know that the gift was received and used), but that account doesn’t need to be a paid account. You’ll then be taken to the Order Page.

Enter the recipient’s name and email, and add a personal greeting for the recipient if you wish.

We’ll soon add the option to select a delivery date within 6 months of the date of purchase, and if a delivery date isn’t selected, your gift will be sent on the date you purchase the gift membership. This is perfect for timing the delivery of the gift to someone’s birthday, for example.

Enter the billing information and complete your order. The gift will be charged once and will not auto-renew.

A confirmation email will be sent to your email.

You’ll also receive an email notification on the day that your gift is delivered.

Receiving a gift membership

The recipient of your gift will receive an email from MyHeritage notifying them of their gift with further instructions. Here’s how they redeem it:
