I mentioned my siblings and their children and grandchildren as well as many classmates were in the path of Hurricane Zeta – To Those in the Path of Hurricane Zeta, Please Take Precautions – October 28, 2020. I was able to get in touch with several relatives and friends and other than loss of power, they are doing well. I checked and around 2 million are without power as Tropical Storm Zeta plans to leave Virginia shortly. It’s a pretty fast storm as it’s about halfway through Virginia from some of the maps I looked at a little bit ago. It looks like once it’s back in the Atlantic sometime overnight or in the morning, it’s not heading for populated areas again.
It will probably hit a fair amount of Virginia, clip Washington, D. C., Maryland, Delaware, and a bit of New Jersey on its present course.
Glad they are okay 👌

Me too. I figured they would stay put as Category 2 usually isn’t that bad. Katrina had a double eye which made it worse as a Category 2.

We have had several in the past 32 years. Flooding and power outages.

Don’t get too much flooding in my neighborhood as I not close to the several rivers in town, but do get power outages semi-regularly due to squirrels supposedly biting through transformer wires. At least that’s what the power company says happens. We also sometimes get trees that fall on power lines which cause power outages.
