    • You are welcome. I think people often don’t consider the consequences involved in social justice. I worked for an agency that helped the poor and initially, it was about giving them a hand up, but it later turned into giving hand-outs. In my opinion, the director forgot what was working and cared more about unintentionally disabling the people the agency had been helping at the beginning.

There are several local groups that help feed the homeless. One won’t accept federal funds because to receive the meals you have to listen to a sermon. The sermons are given by different Christian clergy during the week. You don’t have to accept Christ, but you do have to be there for the sermon as the meal is after the sermon.

God bless local groups and Christians doing charity and reaching people and not willing to compromise with easy money that can subvert the Gospel. I think unintentional effect of hurting people in the long run with short run benefits happens often with government involvement…thanks for sharing

      • You are welcome. I remember how America used to have one of the best public schools systems around, but President LBJ decided that the feds needed to dump tons of money into public schools with zero accountability.
