Bit of background – I don’t remember when WordPress switched me to the new block editor. At the same time, it switched my phones to it at the same time. I have the WordPress app, but use Chrome when posting. When I started to re-blog a post, I had a notice to switch to the new block editor.
When I started this new post, I didn’t get the notice to switch. Of the 2 posts I scheduled on this phone this morning, it was the new block editor. The 7 posted from my laptop were the new editor as well.
Seems to be a one-time occurrence or possibly rare as when I did the re-blog as tomorrow’s first post after having to start the post over, it didn’t show back up.

WordPress quirks can be quite annoying

I agree. At least some of them seem to be occasional. My biggest one that’s not a full quirk tends to be having to unlink something in my weekly theme posts, delete the old URL, type in the new URL using the link button. This one is hit or miss on rare occasions as sometimes I get the old Classic Editor link where I can edit the whole URL.
