Franklin Gem and Mineral Museum, Franklin – North Carolina Thursdays September 3, 2020

For this week’s North Carolina Thursdays post, I chose to look around Franklin, Macon County. There were several places that sounded interesting. I went with Franklin Gem & Mineral Museum as it’s known locally as the Gem Capital of the World – I thought it was a nice choice for this week’s North Carolina Thursdays post. The museum is closed due to COVID-19 pandemic. Call before planning a visit to see what the limitations are and if it’s open. It used to be the Macon County Jail.
