I heard this announced on the radio almost two hours ago – it’s National Peanut Butter and Chocolate Day. Here’s the link I found – https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/peanut-butter-and-chocolate-day/. This is sometimes confused by some websites with January 24th as being Peanut Butter Chocolate Day. However, according to this link and Wikipedia, it’s Peanut Butter Day although Wikipedia adds National to the title:https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/peanut-butter-day/. In celebration of today, I will buy my standard several Reese’s miniature cups that I buy at my local convenience store. I normally do this every day they have them available, but some times they run out and I have to wait a few days for them to get restocked. Wikipedia also calls it National Peanut Butter and Chocolate Day – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_food_days. There are a number of Peanut Butter related days on the Wikipedia link – six:
- January 24 National Peanut Butter Day
- March 1 National Peanut Butter Lover’s Day
- April 2 National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day
- June 12 National Peanut Butter Cookie Day
- July 23 National Peanut Butter and Chocolate Day
- November 20 National Peanut Butter Fudge Day
Not sure what the difference between between National Peanut Butter Day and National Peanut Butter Lover’s Day is. Both days are part of the National Peanut Board – https://www.nationalpeanutboard.org/index.cfm. The Board even has how to substitute peanut butter for other ingredients – Here’s How to Swap Peanut Butter for Other Recipe Ingredients: https://www.nationalpeanutboard.org/news/heres-how-to-swap-peanut-butter-for-other-recipe-ingredients.htm. I have friends who son has egg allergies so I may suggest they try these alternatives for some recipes.
