As a follow-up to my re-blog of this post I love and hate WordPress. — susiesopinions; original post – I love and hate WordPress. — susiesopinions, I find my dislike of WordPress growing faster than my love of WordPress. I can’t rely on my phone or laptop to let me know, more my phone but the laptop has its moments too, to let me know when things have been posted timely. That includes scheduled posts.
Granted, some of the issues are my hitting the wrong time (A. M./P. M. when I meant the other), but those are somewhat rare. A lot more common is when my phone shows I have 0 posts, drafts, and scheduled items. It can take anywhere from 1 refresh to a dozen plus for WordPress to give me a more accurate number. Even then, it’s not always accurate. It happens a lot less on my laptop, but it still happens enough to be frustrating.
When my only Internet access is my phone, WordPress can be a challenge as it may take 10 – 15 minutes to load a page. As my primary phone’s 4G LTE limit is not that high, it still sometimes happens when a new billing cycle has started and I have 4G LTE available. In that case, I think it’s a problem with how my cell phone provider’s 4G LTE connection is working as opposed to being limited to 2G.
I have seen it with other websites, not just WordPress, although WordPress accounts for over 1/3 of websites and blogs. In other cases, it’s a matter of poor website design. I prefer WordPress because I don’t have the necessary technical skills to optimize WordPress on my own.
