Five things –
Prayer – I have been praying more as I know people who are at high risk for COVID-19, but I also pray for those who have been affected by it that I don’t know. The advantage to where I do much of my blogging is it’s near an ambulance route which has done a lot to increase my praying time over the last few years.
Seeing how churches, nonprofits, and other smaller businesses and organizations adapted to COVID-19 – it’s been an exciting process as some smaller congregations, nonprofits, and small organizations have adapted well to the the changes. Using Zoom, Facebook Live or Watch Parties, YouTube, etc. to provide services. In many ways, smaller organizations and businesses have done better than much larger groups that are much larger.
Blogging – this was initially a bit harder in the early stages of shelter in place due to my lack of reliable home Internet was a challenge. It was fun to figure out some things that I usually did at other places which were no longer available or had shortened hours. Figuring out how to do some things on my phone vs. my laptop for making WordPress posts was a challenge as I am still learning.
I am not concerned about getting COVID-19 – either I will or I won’t. No matter I have no control over if I get it or not so I don’t worry about it. It’s helped to better appreciate tomorrow is not guaranteed to anyone. After Dad died unexpectedly many years ago, his death taught me that to take each day as it comes.
Learning to more fully appreciate the small things in life – like toilet paper. I don’t keep a lot of back-up items at my place.
