Safe Travels for Those on the Road for Summer Trips Or Other Vacations – June 21, 2020

For those travelers on the road now or during Summer or other vacations, please be careful. I know many safe drivers, but I also run across many unsafe drivers who care more about getting from point A to point B while not paying attention to other drivers. That’s how accidents happen.

I would extend this to people driving locally since I see plenty of local driving where people aren’t concerned about those in their way. I always leave early when I am heading to work, an appointment, etc. That way I don’t rush. If I am running late due to circumstances beyond my control, so be it. It’s not worth risking my life or other people’s lives.

Imagine if more people had this attitude. Those killed or injured in accidents could go way down. I realize many people are so busy with too many things just to slow down. If you have family – parents, children, siblings, don’t you think most of them care about you arriving safe?

Don’t get me started on inattentive drivers as that’s the most likely way I will get injured or killed. They are too busy on cell phones, texting, or other things that distract them from being aware of what’s going on around them.
