I have a similar problem, but try to search for those bloggers that aren’t showing in my WordPress Reader feed if I notice they are no longer showing up there. I probably miss a few, but if they were showing up previously and aren’t now, I go looking. I think it’s why some people who follow me wind up unfollowing and then re-following me.

I find this too. A few people I follow just disappear but when I go to their blog there are a few posts I’ve missed.

    • I tend to look at the Reader a lot. I noticed it often has large gaps of time. Refreshing tends to decrease the gaps a bit, but not a lot. I tend to go through my list of followers and see if there are people who post regularly that aren’t showing up in the Reader. In some cases, a few haven’t posted since December. For those I follow, I look for blogs I haven’t seen in the Reader lately. I get weekly updates which helps me to find them.

I’ll see things on email that never appear in the reader. It’s getting a bit like Facebook!

    • I know that feeling. I use an add-on that forces Facebook to switch to Most Recent as the default is Top Stories. Not sure how a Top Story that hasn’t been commented on in days, if at all, qualifies as a Top Story. For family, I have some that only use Facebook to give updates. They have cell phones, but only use them to update Facebook. They hate talking on the phone and many hate texting too.
