I forgot to check my LivingDNA mtDNA and Y-DNA haplogroups when I ordered my LivingDNA upgrade – FamilyTree DNA and LivingDNA Order Update April 27, 2020. Strange that I forgot to check the haplogroups until today, over a month later.
23andMe:
- mtDNA – C1b2
- Y-DNA – J1-P58 (used to be J1-M267 which is higher up the haplogroup tree)
LivingDNA:
- mtDNA – C1b
- Y-DNA – J1-P58
FamilyTreen DNA (FTDNA):
- mtDNA – C1b
- Y-DNA – J1-BY78 (pending Big Y-700 update)
YFull:
- mtDNA – C1b30
- Y-DNA – J1-Z18288
YSEQ:
- mtDNA – N/A (not been tested)
- Y-DNA – ZS3664 downstream from ZS227 > ZS2379
I requested a mtDNA expert to check my mtDNA results years ago since C1b2 was showing on 23andMe, but not showing on FTDNA. I did a follow-up since YFull is now showing C1b30. The expert still shows C1b as the best option.
