As mentioned in this blog post – FamilyTree DNA Update – May 25, 2020, I wasn’t expecting the CCR5 (July 6 – 20, 2020) or Warrior Gene (June 8 – 22, 2020) to be updated for a while. Imagine my surprise when I checked today and both had updated. The Big Y-700 is still projected for July 6 – 20, 2020. Both tests were negative. I am working on a comparison between the FamilyTree DNA (FTDNA) Factoid results and the 23andMe results I have from my v3 chip test. There are several that showed up both on FTDNA and 23andMe. I will go through the list and see how they compare between the two companies. I planned on doing this once I received the results from the FTDNA Factoid Bundle, but was waiting as I couldn’t remember if the Warrior Gene was part of the 23andMe results. I may check with Promethease as I don’t remember if they showed some of the same results as either 23andMe or FTDNA. I will double check as I kept my results on Promethease a while back.
