I was going through some links to DNA companies. I hadn’t done an update for Guardiome in a while, August 2018 as every time I checked, it was giving check back soon – Guardiome DNA Website Is Finally Back Up. On the Wayback Machine, it last showed an update from December 21, 2019 – https://web.archive.org/web/20191221213943/http://www.guardiome.com/. At the time, it said check back Spring 2020. I checked today and the website is back up: https://www.guardiome.com/. They only offer a single DNA test for $1,299 – Whole Genome Sequencing 30x read.
As some other companies are offering the same test for about $399 or less – https://sequencing.com/tests/order/genome-sequencing-dna-testing. Sequencing.com uses Nebula Genomics which offers the same test for $299, regular price $1,000 – https://nebula.org/whole-genome-sequencing/. Sequencing.com does offer a few extras for the higher price – you can decide if the extras are worth $100. Both Sequencing.com and Nebula Genomics offer monthly subscriptions, but Nebula Genomics offers lifetime access for $700 in addition to $19.99/month or $9.99/month if you do a yearly subscription. I am not seeing the regular price for Silver, Gold, or Platinum subscriptions on Sequencing.com. I know they offer monthly prices that are higher than if you pay for an annual subscription. Each level gives you more free apps/month than the lower levels, but it also costs more than the lower levels.
As a comparison, YSEQ.net – https://www.yseq.net/index.php?cPath=29&osCsid=7c587d84fade949985407ec9fb437484 (not an affiliate link) offers three Whole Genome Sequence tests, starting at $579 and running up to $1,559 and no subscription fees.
