News reports of a new, invasive hornet spotted in the Northwest has heightened people’s awareness of flying insects recently. The Asian giant hornet, also called a murder hornet, has been confirmed in the state of Washington. 19 more words

Also known as murder hornets and first seen in the U. S. in Washington State. It may take a while for them to show up in Mississippi, but I wouldn’t count them out at this early stage in the game.
