Update to my earlier post from yesterday Update On My Niece’s Surgery April 23, 2020.
Thank you to those who kept her in your thoughts and prayers.
Got a post on Facebook from my niece yesterday:
Today I met with my oncologist and surgeon for the pathology results of my mastectomy. I have to admit it was not the news I wanted to hear. Unfortunately, the margins were not clear and will require another surgery. However, the cancer on the margin at least was the noninvasive type. I had postive (cancer) lymph nodes, 2 out of 4. I will have to have chemo for 5 months started sometime in mid-June and radiation sometime at the end of the year. My original biopsy showed the aggressiveness at grade 2 (intermediate), but these results of invasive tumor is grade 3 (most aggressive). Based on these results, I am now considered stage 2.
So, obviously I have been praying a lot and now feel at peace and ready to kick some cancer’s butt.
“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hears and minds through Christ Jesus” Philippians 4:7
“I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me and heard my cry. He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, and He set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm. And He hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.” Psalms 40:1-3
