I talked yesterday – My Favorite Internet Cafe Is Open for Dine-in – May 4, 2020, prior to this my social interactions were fairly limited. I have friends that would let me visit a couple of times a week. They are like family. My almost daily interaction was going to the convenience store to get a meal. There were some days I missed, but it wasn’t that often. My once every 1 – 2 months visit to Dollar General, last done Sunday, was to grab what groceries I could pack in my bicycle baskets. If needed, my friends would take me to Wally World for more groceries, but I prefer that to be a last resort. I could read my bicycle there, but it’s about 3x times as far as the Dollar General. Again, my two baskets on the bike would limit how much I could bring back. Plus, most of what I need tended to be out of stock for a while. I had a better chance of getting toilet paper from the convenience store for a month and half than I did at the other two places.
I would go to church on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evening as I was one of several people who are allowed in the church. Basically, there are 2 – 4 people – pastor and his wife, Sunday School teacher, and me. We occasionally have someone sneak in, but the doors are locked and he has a key. We maintain social distancing. We broadcast services on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings through Facebook Live. Then, upload to YouTube. The goal is to re-open the church Sunday if things are doing better COVID-19 wise, by Saturday. So far, it looks promising, but things can change between today and Saturday. We will still do the YouTube and Facebook Live videos as some people may not be comfortable attending in person.
