I checked yesterday and today and AncestryDNA and 23andMe still have not joined the DNA Sale yet this month. There were some very minor price differences with the companies running DNA Sales, but nothing major. I will check again tomorrow and for the next few days as DNA Day is April 25. It would be unusual for AncestryDNA and 23andMe not to join in the sale, especially as both have laid off employees due to projected decreases in sales before COVID-19 was an issue.
MyHeritageDNA has the best deal at $39, followed by FamilyTree DNA (FTDNA) at $49. LivingDNA has an okay deal at $49, but you would need to go with their higher price kit if you wanted more information or later spend another $49 to upgrade to get a kit equivalent to the other two companies.
Helix seems to have fallen by the wayside. It had great promise a few years ago, it seems more focused on medical DNA testing these days. You can still do the ethnicity tests, but they aren’t really pushing them.
I realize this may not be the best time for a DNA sale, but this sale has been going on for years as a celebration of DNA Day.
