Stimulus Rebate Update – April 10, 2020

Updated as IRS website has direct deposit for non-filers IRS Nonfiler Direct Deposit Portal Open -YouTube Video Devin Carroll April 10, 2020. Direct IRS link: https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/non-filers-enter-payment-info-here.

Latest update to my post Questionable Stimulus Rebate Dates on Social Media – April 6, 2020. It’s expected the IRS will be sending direct deposit soon, possibly as early as today. It usually takes several days between the time they send a direct deposit and the time your financial institution receives the deposit. Also, they are probably doing it in waves to avoid overwhelming both the IRS and the financial sector’s computer systems. The plan is to have a way to add direct deposit information on the IRS website next week.

For paper checks, it may take a while before you see the money. While many people have direct deposit, a fair number don’t.

For other countries, if you qualify for some form of stimulus package, check your country’s official website on dates. I know some countries have limited who qualified to be eligible.

I mentioned scams before Update to My Last Post Phone/Text Scams – March 27, 2020. Please don’t fall for the scams. I have seen scams in other countries numerous times. A favorite U. K. YouTuber I follow loves to mess with the scammers.
