Today’s discover prompt is Curve.
From my earlier post – Join Our Discover Daily Prompts in April! — The Daily Post which has more details on the discover prompts. A search showed today’s prompt is Curve.
Many roads have curves. Mom owned a new car that turned out to be a lemon and the car was yellow. The car was from a car company known for quality.
One of the worst aspects of the car was its inability to take a shallow curve at a reasonable speed. I would have to take curves at much slower speeds than the posted speed. If it was posted at 25 MPH, I needed to take at 10 – 15 MPH slower or risk going over the edge.
On straight roads, it was fine, other than a lack of reasonable acceleration. To get to 55 took a while, a lot longer than other cars made by the same company. I could floor it and it still took a long time.
Thankfully, the area did not have too many dangerous curves and I avoided those most of the time.
My suggestion is to learn how a vehicle handles curves before you find out the hard way it handles them poorly. Don’t assume the same car, year, and model handles things exactly like other cars of the same year and model.
