I don’t talk much about my Bipolar Depression on my blog. Specifically, it’s Type I, mixed states, ultra ultra rapid cycling. Ultra ultra rapid cycling can occur a lot more often than rapid cycling and ultra rapid cycling. On a bad day, I can have multiple hypermanic episodes that happen with severe depression episodes.
Years ago, I had a new therapist, don’t recall the first session, but she mentioned it in the second session. Therapist sessions tend to be billed hourly, but only run 45 – 50 minutes long. During my first session, she estimated I changed subjects at least 10 times minimum. She couldn’t keep me on topic for long. It’s draining for me when I am that manic.
There are two types of people when it comes to manic – those who love it and those who hate it. Basic rule is the more manic you get, the deeper the depression rebound effect.
I re-blogged this ~What Does A Bipolar Manic Episode Feel Like~Bipolar Mania~ — Bipolar Tapestry~Poetic Thoughts. I also mentioned each person’s symptoms can be significantly different. With hypomania (low grade mania), I am very productive. As it inches closer to hypermania (full blown mania), my productivity drops substantially as I start too many things and don’t finish any of them.
Currently, I am neutral or normal, but the shelter in place is starting to get me down. It’s not a full blown depression episode yet. I am doing good about keeping it from becoming one as being stuck in a hospital right now would be a non-fun event at best.
Shelter in place can be hard for those with mental health issues. I get out at least one time/day to avoid or reduce cabin fever.
