In my last post, Let go … and let God win the worry war — From The Darkness Into The Light, I had planned on doing a similar post for a week.
Will I get COVID-19? Don’t know, don’t care. That answer and similar answers in this post are not intended to be flippant answers. Me worrying about getting it is more likely to guarantee I will get it. If I get it, will I die? Again, don’t know, don’t care. Will worrying about it save me from death? Again, no.
If I get it, there are two basic outcomes – I live or die. The odds of death are between 1 – 4.9%, depending on various factors. The higher odds are almost 1 in 20. Worrying won’t change those odds.
The Bible makes it clear worrying doesn’t help in numerous places. Mom was a worrier. I acquired it from her, but as an adult, I saw many Bible verses about not worrying or being anxious and decided to trust the Lord.
I don’t know if I will get it, but I trust the Lord to see me through it no matter what happens.
