As I said in this post, MyHeritageDNA Delivery Update – March 6, 2020, MyHeritageDNA acknowledged receiving my kit as of 12:17 P. M. U. S. Central Time on March 6 in an e-mail. I checked earlier this morning and it was still showing as received, but not processing. I checked again about 2 hours ago and it now shows extraction in progress. The funny part is below the quoted text.

Now to the funny part of the story. All times are U. S. Central Time. This involves the Post Office and not MyHeritageDNA. On March 6th at 7:27 A. M., it shows package out for delivery. That was the last I heard from the Post Office until March 7th, 1:41 A. M. At that time, it shows Awaiting Delivery Scan. That’s the last text message I received from the Post Office. They have yet to acknowledge as of the time of this post the package has been delivered. This is something that has never happened to me before. They usually update it within minutes of a package being delivered to me.
I requested both text and e-mail updates. I checked my e-mails about two hours ago and they did send me an update about a delivery exception. When I clicked on the tracking number, the website shows the same thing as the e-mail response below.
Your package has a delivery exception. The delivery status of your item has not been updated as of March 7, 2020, 1:10 am. We apologize that it may arrive later than expected.
I am glad MyHeritageDNA sent me an e-mail notice it had been received. If they hadn’t, checked the Health section of their website would have verified it had been received.
The next steps in the process are below. I don’t plan on checking back for a few weeks other than to see how long it takes to proceed to each of the remaining steps. Should be interesting to see if the Post Office ever sends me a text message showing package delivered, either before or after the kit finishes processing.
