From last night’s post that briefly covered the Italo-Turkish War – Early Italian Tanks — Weapons and Warfare; original post: Early Italian Tanks — Weapons and Warfare, I decided to see what I could find out about the Italo-Turkish War.
A few links:
Encyclopædia Britannica : https://www.britannica.com/event/Italo-Turkish-War
The History Guy: https://historyguy.com/italo_turkish_war.htm
Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Italo-Turkish_War
YouTube: Italo-Turkish War – YouTube VideoWikiAudio: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQF6TAV-12A (about 19:58 minutes long) – several shorter videos on YouTube about the war
The Origins And History of the Italian-Turkish War 1911-1912 – YouTube Video MadeinTurkey: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXkp3fW75gA (around 4:05:52 hours long) – Yes I said 4+ hours long; there is going to be some bias as the YouTube channel is MadeinTurkey. I did not watch the video, but I watched parts and I saw bias. I would expect similar Italian bias if an Italian was making a video about the war.
Never heard of this war before!

I try and look for Wars, battles, etc. that I have not read much on. Same for individuals. My sister’s neighbor never mentioned he was in the Battle of the Bulge or any World War II involvement. After he died, one of his children told her about the story.
