the dark side of youtube – YouTube Video Isabelle Weall

I saw this on YouTube – the dark side of youtube – YouTube Video Isabelle Weall: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T160JJXGWjY (about 20:10 minutes long).

It’s sad Isabelle has to make this point and it happens to her on other social media as well. I made her a Featured Vlogger of the Week earlier this month – Isabelle Weall Featured Vlogger of the Week January 8, 2020. She’s only 16, a point missed or ignored by those who mock and bully her on social media.

      • I know some YouTubers who turn off or restrict comments to avoid dealing with it.

So far, I haven’t denied any comments to my posts, aside from most of the ones that wind up in my Spam folder. I may not agree with a comment, but as long as they are respectful in their disagreement, I will approve them. I had someone send me a nasty note in a Twitter message because I re-blogged a post the person didn’t agree with. They demanded I unfriend the other blogger or else. I didn’t. I muted the person making the threat so I don’t know if they unfriended me. It was a case where I believed the blogger made a valid point even though I hadn’t seen the photo on his Twitter feed.
