I hope Mobile does support the project in tomorrow’s vote, but it seems unlikely. If they don’t, Mississippi and Louisiana may pull funding they have pledged as it would most likely force one of those states to create a turnaround point to avoid going through Alabama. At the least, they would have to reroute north through Picayune, Jackson, Meridian, or another Amtrak station.
