Updated December 10, 2019 as new sales were added.
Dante Labs lowered their sale price to $349.00 (was $599.00 for the last few days) if you order it with the 8-week turnaround time ($599.00 if you go with 2-week turnaround time). That’s the biggest change I noticed from yesterday’s post. MyHeritageDNA is supposed to end in about 8 hours if they don’t extend it again.
I expect sometime in the next few days to stop doing daily, or almost daily, updates on DNA sales. I will still check daily as some DNA companies may change prices.
Amazon now has some Geno 2.0 Next DNA kits available again after they were out yesterday. Update to the last post Genealogical DNA Testing Companies and Current DNA Sales December 8, 2019, will likely do an update tomorrow, some new sales or price increases may start tomorrow or sometime in the next two weeks.
Making it Sticky for now as it includes the major DNA companies (23andMe, AncestryDNA, FamilyTree DNA (FTDNA), FindMyPastDNA, LivingDNA, MyHeritageDNA, Geno 2.0 Next until it is no longer available, Helix, and a few others, but will include some other DNA companies that are not considered major genealogical DNA companies), most of which aren’t having sales right now. Will replace when a new sale shows up. Monthly DNA price list for December – Current December 2019 DNA Prices December 1, 2019. That will cover many of the lesser known DNA companies. Amazon often has great deals for some of the DNA companies around Black Friday/Cyber Monday.
As always, check prices before you order! You can also check EBay and Amazon in case you find a lower price there, but make sure it’s for the same company and test. Some of the companies show an end date for their sale prices, but many don’t. Amazon loves to raise and lower prices on DNA tests on a somewhat regular basis, usually every few days for some of the major companies, bit less often for other companies. For EBay and Amazon purchases, always activate the test as soon as you get it to avoid problems.

Temporarily, Amazon still has some kits available – Amazon sale price is $178.90 with free shipping – available as of December 9, 2019) which means Helix may be out of kits or has ended sales for Geno 2.0 Next testing – price tends to change every few days. Be aware December 31, 2019 is the last day to submit samples to Helix for processing. No word if it has to be received by Helix by that date or be in the mail.
Helix – https://www.helix.com/collections/all/ some tests, like Mayo Clinic Gene Guide, are on sale, but many aren’t (direct link to Helix list of most DNA tests offered, but it’s not the complete list as some are only listed in other parts of the Helix site); Amazon list of Helix tests – doesn’t include all Helix items listed on the Helix site so you may need to search for specific tests or items if you are checking Amazon for something not in the above Amazon link. Rest of Helix DNA tests are regular price and Helix kits are regular price of $80.00 if you need a Helix DNA kit for an individual. They made some major changes to those who upload raw data transfers after November 30, 2018; it won’t affect you if you uploaded your raw data before December 16, 2018 as they are grandfathering in people who uploaded raw data before December 16, 2018 and they will retain full access.
