One of the problems with FamilyTree DNA (FTDNA) is they don’t show the upgrade prices if you have already upgraded DNA for a particular type of DNA test. In my case, I have autosomal (FamilyFinder), full mtDNA, and Big Y-500 so the only update price I see is to upgrade from Big Y-500 to Big Y-700. I haven’t taken any of the Factoid DNA tests or certain Y-DNA SNP Packs. I understand the reasoning for not showing the upgrade prices as they don’t want you to accidentally upgrade something you already upgraded. Unfortunately, my usual go-to source for the upgrade prices doesn’t show FTDNA sales and my back-up source hasn’t made a post showing the upgrade prices. I will look for a fourth source as the e-mail I received from FTDNA didn’t show the upgrade prices.
Once I find the upgrade prices, I will add them to Genealogical DNA Testing Companies and Current DNA Sales November 1, 2019 and add a new post with the upgrade prices.
