I have been following KayJ for a while now.

Want to Know More? You’ve come to the right place!

You are here because you want to know more about what makes people behave the way that they do, why they think the way they do, and how you can better yourself and your relationships with others. Well, turns out I want the same thing!

Hey everyone. You can call me KayJ. I’ve studied “people” at two universities spanning six years. I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I also worked in a psychology research lab when I was completing my bachelor’s degree. So yeah, you could say I’m interested in understanding people.

But nothing has helped me understand people and how they interact with their world around them as much as coping with my own mental health issues. I’ve struggled since I was a kid with mental health problems, especially depression and anxiety. I get you when you say you have trouble fitting into the world. I also understand when you want to learn how to better yourself. I’m here to help you.

It’s fascinating to study the mind and brain. That’s why I am putting my skills in researching articles to good use on this blog. You never know what information might help someone. In a sense, we’ll be learning together everyday.

I will be on the hunt looking for products for you to help you be the best that you can be. Encouraging others to help themselves and change is what I enjoy.

I created this blog website to merge two of my passions together: writing and helping others.

When I’m not writing, I like to look up new recipes to try. I must eat gluten free, so recipes have to be modified for me sometimes. But I enjoy trying new foods!

I also enjoy surfing the web for new and funny videos, hiking (nothing too intense), hanging out with my wonderful family, and binge watching TV shows. I also love llamas and alpacas. Really, just animals in general. Back to about the site…

Unveiling the Mind is here to help you Know More. So stick around, browse, learn something new. Best of all, learn that you are not alone in your struggles.
